Christmas Sessions

Is it too early to play Michael Buble’s Christmas album yet? I feel like whenever I am writing about the big C word, I should be sat here with a mulled wine, whining like a strangled cat to Jingle Bells! So thats pretty much how my December goes. Did you know that Heart FM even have their own Christmas station that plays wall to wall carols and seasonal jingles 24 hours a day!

Truth be told, I love it! I literally squealed yesterday when walking in to Notcutts and seeing the plethora of sparkly decorations and beautiful things to decorate your home. I could easily turn my house in to a mini grotto if I had the time and more importantly the spare budget!

I see all of the beautiful trees and wish I hadn’t spent so long collecting ‘special’ red and white decorations over the last few years, as now I’d really like to go with the pink and silver tree style I eyed yesterday.

When December 1st hits, I will absolutely be putting the tree up. I’m not one to believe the superstition of timings. I find it so uplifiting and really enjoy coming home and switching on the lights, and slipping in to the dreaminess of Christmas, even if in reality, its the most stressful, expensive and frought time of year.

The best part for me now is Sienna, talking to her about Santa, planning her Christmas list and seeing the joy on her face when she starts to see lights in peoples houses and all the decorations in the street.

And of course in preparation for the holiday season, I have just finished my Christmas session test shoots! This little beauty came in with her little brother. He wasn’t too up for playing the game, but big sister was loving having some fun, bouncing on bed, and having a proper giggle.
